Abercrombie Alfresco Retreat

Located in the scenic surrounds of Abercrombie, NSW, this beautifully transformed outdoor space for Jazz and Shaun is a perfect example of how we bring our customers’ vision to life through thoughtful, functional design – expertly delivered by our Spanline Orange & Bathurst team.

Originally an exposed and underutilised area, the space was subject to extreme seasonal conditions – uncomfortably hot and exposed in summer, and too cold to enjoy in winter. Through our custom design approach, we delivered a seamless combination of the Ezi Struct® insulated patio and Skylux® Opening Roof, creating a versatile alfresco area that can be enjoyed all year round.

Positioned to take advantage of its north-west facing orientation, the space captures warm afternoon sun while allowing for flexible control of light, airflow, and shade. The insulated roofing ensures year-round comfort, while the opening roof provides the freedom to invite in natural light and fresh air whenever desired.

The result is a thoughtfully designed outdoor living area that caters to both entertaining and relaxation. A dedicated dining space with BBQ creates the perfect setting for hosting family and friends, while a separate lounge area offers a comfortable retreat for quieter moments, from morning coffee to unwinding in the evening.

As Shaun, property owner explains:

“When we first built this house, this entire space was open and exposed. It was extremely hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. This went from a space that we didn’t use at all, to a space that we use all the time.”
